Open the folder, double-click the updater file, and follow the on-screen instructions. For computers without a previous version of Lightroom installed, there is no need to install any previous versions of Lightroom before installing Lightroom 5.5. 1. Download the Lightroom 5.5 update. 2. Open the folder, double-click the updater file, and follow the on-screen instructions. Note: Lightroom 5.5 will automatically remove the previous Lightroom 5 executable and replace the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom folder with the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.5 folder. 64-bit Installation Notes Windows: The Lightroom installer contains both a 32-bit and 64-bit version of the application. By default, the 64-bit version will be installed only on Windows 7 and Windows 8 64-bit operating systems. All other operating systems will install the 32-bit version by default. Download
